My story

Hi, I'm Kristin Weinrich. Welcome to MomsWork Podcast!

I'm a wife, a mom of two, a lifelong Pennsylvanian, and I've been an elementary school teacher for more than 24 years — which means I've spent a lot of time around children, parents, school lunches, lost water bottles, and people asking me, "But WHY do I have to do that?"

I live in the western suburbs of Philadelphia with my family, and when I'm not teaching or podcasting, you'll probably find me baking something, listening to Taylor Swift, spending time with my family, or somehow striking up a conversation with a complete stranger in the grocery store checkout line.

I started MomsWork because I've always been fascinated by people — and especially by the very real, sometimes messy, often hilarious experience of being an adult, a parent, a partner, and a person who is still trying to figure things out along the way.

Here, we talk about parenting, work, relationships, family, identity, health, the things that keep us up at night, and all of the little moments in between. While MomsWork started with a focus on moms, I quickly realized that dads work, too — so this is really a place for all of us.

My goal is pretty simple: to have the kinds of conversations you might have sitting around the kitchen table or over a cup of coffee with a good friend — honest, curious, sometimes serious, sometimes funny, and hopefully always leaving you thinking, "Okay…so I'm not the only one."
